I have been working on the Mahalo letter for those of you who would like to get a tax deduction from your donation.

Unfortunately I am unable to get all the info to send out some of the letters.

Please e-mail your info and donation so we can get those mahalo letters out to u as quickly as poissible.

Would like to have them completed by no later then the end of the month.

Every Saturday accept the last Sat of the month is avaialble for ur school, group, club, bussiness, military etc, is welcome to sign up and take a day on together as a team. Let’s fill that days with hope and some great food and other needed items for those we serve. Together we a part of the solution. We are hope.

Christmas of Hope Time change….PLEASE read….MAHALO

Aloha All*****

A few challenges came up that has made us re think the time of the Christmas of Hope event. We will be instead serving the holiday meal at 11 am that day instead of1 pm. Drop off for any donated items will be from 10:00 to 10:30am.

Prep at the kitchen will be from 8am to 10. We will need plenty of help for that as well.

The theater has a show that will be going on at 3. We would like to be through and cleaned up with our event before that time. So please if you plan to serve stay around to help us close down and clean up so the park is in great shape when we leave.

The Christmas event has been very challenging to get the meal items and help we need. We may have to remove some of the items off the list. But for now we will continue to try and do our best. We did get some monetary donations that will be very helpful but not enough to add the items we may have to take off the list. Maybe there’s still hope.

UPDATE ON ITEMS WE NEED

WE HAVE all 50 Turkeys! We don’t need anymore of them.

WE HAVE NO HAMS…..We would need 30 hams committed to be cooked and ready to serve. If by the 17th of Dec we are not able to get any then we will take the ham off the holiday meal list.

YAMS….WE Need 25 lg pans cooked and ready to serve. As of now we have none. If we are not able to get those then we will have to take that off the holiday meal list as well.

STUFFING we have NONE. Could use 15 lg pans full

RICE….we could use 15 pans full

MASHED POTATOES, GREEN BEANS, CORN,…we have 400 each of servings need 300 more servings of each or 15 pans full of each

ROLLS we have 500 we could use 100 more or 10 bags of 12 each

Carrot Sticks with dressing…….need 15 lbs and 4 lg bottles of dressing

FRESH FRUITS……Banana’s, Oranges, Tangerines, would be great!

Pies, we 40 more pies! and 6 more cans of whip cream

WE Need either 14 cases of water or 20 gallons of water

We have 20 gallons of juice.

NON FOOD ITEMS

WE HAVE 5 Tents could use 5 more

WE have 10 tables, could use 6 more …Waiting on word from that and may have enough. Will announce in update

We have 8 bags of clothes, that will work out good, slippahs, sneakers, jackets, blankets, socks are very welcome. It’s really cold out at night especially for the Seniors and Keiki’s.

We could use toiletry items, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoos, soaps, deodorant, combs, brushes, wash clothes, towels.

WE COULD USE FOOD CERTIFICATES such as fast food ones
We could very much use COSTCO or SAMS Gift certificates to help us with items on our list for this event and all year round.

We would love to have more volunteers. ALL groups are welcome all year round. Please let us know. We would love to have u adopt a Saturday from us. Military, Schools, Churches, Businesses, Sports groups.
